Hospitality construction continues west of Kansas
HAMPTON INN & SUITES - AURORA, CO
Construction is about to wrap up on a new five-story Hampton Inn and Suites by Hilton in Aurora, Colorado. The facility includes 108 guest rooms, a large lobby/breakfast area, pantry, meeting rooms, a conference room, guest laundry rooms, fitness room, indoor pool, a 24-hour marketplace, and a complimentary continental breakfast bar.
Partnering with Bieberly Architects (Salina, KS), Engineering Solutions, LLC provided the HVAC and Plumbing Engineering the project. The building HVAC system consists of roof mounted heat pumps, indoor air handlers, and dedicated outside air units to provide positive outside air ventilation to the occupants. The building pressurization is ensured by the use of automatic balancing dampers on each of the individual toilet room exhaust fans. The pool dehumidifier allows the space temperature and humidity to be controlled, while maintaining space pressurization to minimize pool room odors from transferring to the rest of the building.
On the plumbing side, high efficiency plumbing fixtures reduces the building water consumption. A water pressure booster pump guarantees adequate water pressure in the building; and high efficiency PVI Conquest water heaters coupled with the Armstrong Brain digital mixing valves ensure the hotel guests are relaxed and comfortable with access to reliable, safe hot water throughout their stay.
